Each member awarded honorary lifetime membership has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the betterment of the association and its members.

Honorary members are nominated by their peers, vetted by the Membership Committee, and approved by the Board. Only the highest levels of service and leadership are recognized.

Honorary Membership

1. Must be nominated by an ESDCAR REALTOR® member currently eligible to vote.
2. Nominee must have rendered long and faithful service to the Association within tenure of membership.
3. All nominees must be approved by ESDCAR's Board of Directors via the Membership Committee. The number approved in any given year shall be limited to (2) two.
4. The names of all approved nominees will remain confidential Until Honorary status is officially conferred.
5. Honorary Member for Life status will be awarded at the Annual Installation Dinner.
6. Application acceptance criteria will be as outlined in Nomination Criteria below.

NOMINATION CRITERIA

1. Must be nominated by an ESDCAR REALTOR® member currently eligible to vote in Association elections. Nominees must likewise be current members eligible to vote. REALTOR® members may not nominate themselves. Nomination must state who is making the nomination, when the nominee warrants the designation, and where the nominee may be contacted by the Association.
2. Nominees must have rendered long and faithful service to the Association within tenure of membership.
3. All nominations must be submitted to the Membership Committee annually between August 1 and September 30.
4. All nominations approved by the Membership Committee must be approved by the Board of Directors.
5. Considerations of the following:
1. Length of REALTOR® primary membership at ESDCAR shall be a minimum of 25 years.
2. Exceptional services provided to ESDCAR within tenure of ESDCAR membership shall be defined to include:
• Officer position(s) held
• Director positions held
• Committee Chair positions held
• Committee participation
• REALTOR® of the year
